Short Story: Social and Emotional Development

Based on the development you have chosen, write a short story about a toddler-
Choose one age:
12-18 months
**18-24 months**
24-36 months
Use descriptors to have the toddler show all of the characteristics specific to that age, should be at least ½ page in length.

I woke up (unfortunately) to my alarm clock with the song You'll Always Be My Baby by Sara Evans blasting in my ear. Right off the bat i jumped out of bed and checked on my neice Daveany that was staying with me for the week. She's only 1 1/2 old and absolutely gorgeous with her big blue eyes from her mom and her brown wringlet hair from her dad. She was just sitting up looking at herself in the mirror that was attached to the side of her crib. She was making fishfaces in it and laughing afterwards, i just peaked in on her because i didn't want to interrupt. I allowed her to play for a little while because she wasn't fussing or anything.
Eventually i got her out of her crib because she was calling "Mornan", because she never says the "g" part, repeatedly. Of course i was happy to get her because she's just a sweetheart. She gave me the sign language for food and asked for "wawa", water, and so i fed her her breakfast. I had a party that i needed to bake cookies for so i said to Daveany- "Want to help Aunt Morgan bake chocolate Chip Cookies?" and she almost jumped out of her chairseat because she was so excited. I gathered all the ingredients and we went to town on it. Daveany was like, "Let me stir please!" So that was her assigned job for the baking of the cookies. Afterwards we enjoyed a cookie together.
Then it was almost time for Aunt Morgan to go shopping and Aunt Hayley was going to take over playtime with Daveany soon. As i was getting ready to leave Daveany had a little trouble letting me leave because we had spent the whole morning together and she wasn't ready to be with Hayley. But i snuck out of the door when she wasn't looking because she was playing with Aunt Hayley. Later on Hayley told me Daveany had hit her because she took away her doll, she clearly knows whats hers but she ended up having to spend time in timeout for hitting. Mommy Jen and Daddy Brad soon came to pick her up a few days later and life went back to normal for Aunt Morgan and the rest of the aunts.
